What can happen if bird`s nest under my solar panels?

What happens if a bird lands on a solar panel?

Birds landing on solar panels generally don't cause any issues or damage. Solar panels are designed to withstand environmental factors like rain, hail, snow, and bird droppings. Most solar panel materials are too hard for a bird to puncture or scratch with their talons.

The glass covering solar cells is very durable and impact-resistant. And the aluminum framing around panels is sturdy enough to support a bird's weight without bending. So there's no need to worry about a bird cracking the panel by walking on it.

In rare cases, a very large bird landing forcefully on a panel could potentially cause a crack. But this would likely require a collision at high velocity. Casual landings or takeoffs pose little risk. Birds tend to try to avoid landing on solar arrays if possible.
